Patreon Image Sizes 2026 — Profile, Cover & Post Dimensions
Patreon crops and scales the images on your creator page to fixed slots, so uploading the right dimensions is the difference between a polished page and a stretched or cropped one. This guide lists the exact sizes for your avatar, cover, and post images.
Patreon image sizes — quick reference
| Placement | Size | Ratio | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Profile photo (avatar) | 1024×1024 px | 1:1 | Shown as a circle |
| Cover photo | 1600×400 px | 4:1 | Top of your page |
| Post image | Up to 1200 px wide | Any | 1.91:1 previews best |
| Minimum avatar | 200×200 px | 1:1 | Larger looks sharper |
Profile photo and cover
Your profile photo is displayed as a circle, so a 1024×1024 px square with the subject centered looks crisp on every device. The cover photo is a wide 4:1 banner (1600×400 px) across the top of your page — keep important text and logos near the center, since the edges crop on narrow screens and your avatar overlaps the lower-left.
Post and tier images
Images inside posts display up to about 1200 px wide, and link previews use a 1.91:1 crop (1200×628 px) pulled from the first image — so lead with a 1200×628 image when you want a clean shared card. Tier and benefit thumbnails are small, so use simple, high-contrast graphics that read at a glance.
Keep file sizes reasonable
Patreon re-compresses uploads, so export high-quality JPGs at the target dimensions rather than huge files. A sharp 1600×400 cover under ~1 MB uploads fast and avoids extra compression artifacts.
