Getting exact colors from an image

How it works

Your image is drawn onto a canvas in your browser. When you click a spot, the tool reads that single pixel's red, green, and blue values and shows the matching HEX and RGB codes you can copy.

Because it reads the true pixel value, it's far more accurate than guessing a color by eye — useful for matching brand colors, extracting a palette, or sampling a shade from a screenshot.

Private by design

The image is processed locally and never uploaded. That matters when you're sampling colors from confidential mockups or screenshots.

Frequently asked questions

What formats can I use?

Any image your browser opens — PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, and more.

Can I zoom for precision?

The image displays at a comfortable size; clicks map to the exact underlying pixel, so even small targets resolve accurately.

Is the color exact?

Yes — it reads the actual pixel RGB values rather than approximating.

Is my image uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.
