Auto-cropping borders
How it detects the edges
The tool samples the top-left corner to learn the background color, then scans inward from every side until it finds real content. Everything outside that bounding box — matching the background color or fully transparent — is cropped away.
It's a fast way to tighten screenshots, scans, logos with extra padding, or any image with empty margins.
Works with transparency
Transparent margins are trimmed too, so a PNG with empty space around the subject is cropped right to the edges of the visible pixels.
Frequently asked questions
What gets trimmed?
Uniform borders matching the corner color, and fully transparent areas around the content.
What if the background isn't perfectly uniform?
A small tolerance handles slight noise. Very textured backgrounds may not be detected as borders.
What format is the output?
A PNG, preserving any transparency in the cropped image.
Is my image uploaded?
No. Detection and cropping happen entirely in your browser.
