Merging PDFs privately
Why merge in the browser?
Most online PDF mergers upload your documents to their servers. For contracts, invoices, IDs, or anything confidential, that's a real privacy risk. This tool uses the pdf-lib library running inside your browser, so the PDFs are assembled on your own device and never uploaded.
That also means there's no file-size limit imposed by an upload quota and no queue — merging is as fast as your computer.
Control the order
Add your PDFs, then use the up/down arrows to arrange them. The pages are combined top-to-bottom in exactly the order shown, preserving every page from each source document.
Quality is preserved
Merging copies the original pages as-is — text stays selectable, vectors stay sharp, and images keep their resolution. Nothing is re-compressed or rasterized.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?
No. The merge runs entirely in your browser with pdf-lib. Your documents never leave your device.
Is there a file-size or page limit?
There's no artificial limit — only your device's memory. Very large files use more RAM since everything is processed locally.
Can I reorder the files before merging?
Yes. Use the up and down arrows next to each file to set the final order.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted PDFs must be unlocked first. Remove the password in your PDF reader, then merge the unprotected copies.
